Australian Passport Application Process has Changed 🐨

Daily writing prompt
Scour the news for an entirely uninteresting story. Consider how it connects to your life. Write about that.

Todays prompt actually interested me and as the clock winds down on my Tuesday night, I wanted to answer it.

So after browsing news.com.au I came across a lot of interesting stories such as Spain wanting people to consider their pets (at the end of their lives) be food for the lions at their zoo and a NSW Correction officer smuggling phones in for inmates.

But a really uninteresting story I found for a lot of people was a story about Applying for your Australian Passport online. Mostly because most people already have a passport.

Up until now, to apply for our Passports we needed to go to our local post office to obtain and fill in documents and have photos taken. From there we have to have all out documents signed by a JP and then post all documents and photos to wherever they say and wait!..

But applying online will mean we can cut out the middle man (the post office) making the process easier and hopefully much quicker!

I really need to get David, the kids and I passports as we plan to travel overseas in the next few years, so I’m excited to hopefully be able to do this online!
